WOW! What a great sunny day we had at WTS on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 for our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!  In a nutshell, this is how the morning happened…

Evolve KY members arrived in droves in their electric vehicles including many Teslas, Nissan Leafs and a Chevy Bolt – to support WTS and welcome the new free public EV charging station!  Thank you so much Evolve KY folks – you are the GREATESTEVs at WTS3 04232019We all headed out to the parking lot for the first part of our ceremony…

Ken Scott-WTS Owner, Adam Edelen-Democratic Candidate for Governor, Mike Perros-Mayor of Danville, and Stuart Ungar-President of Evolve KY, cut the RIBBON!  Thanks for supporting the EVs!

We had coffee from The Roosters Whistle! This is our owner Paula Scott ready for the first cup!  It’s almost ready Paula… Thanks to The Roosters Whistle – AWESOME!

Then we gathered inside WTS and Stuart Ungar explained that most people who love solar also love electric cars and vice-versa! If you would like to Adopt-A-Charger, contact Evolve KY.  Thanks Stuart for bringing your peeps and your giant scissors and making our day!Stuart Ungar2 at WTS 04232019Adam Edelen rallied the crowd with a brief talk about the importance of renewable energy and how it can and does work in Kentucky.  Thanks Adam Edelen for believing and continuing the push for positive change in Kentucky!  Adam hung out with us for a while and many folks enjoyed a one-on-one conversation with him.Adam Edelen 04232019

The electric vehicle drivers enjoyed talking to many people and even gave ride-alongs to all who were interested.

Did I mention we had Burke’s Bakery Muffins and Doughnuts??

It was a very good day!  Thanks everyone!!!  We are all charged up!
